Subject: A writing competition about the next ten years

Dear students and parents,

I'd like to suggest a competition for students aged 14–18. Ten Years From Now asks entrants to investigate one of the forces shaping the next decade (in business, science or society) and make an evidence-based case for what should happen next. Entries are up to 1,000 words and are submitted online by 28 February 2027 (Round 1) or 15 June 2027 (Round 2). It is free to enter.

It is a good fit for anyone who enjoys independent research or wants to practise building an argument. Students under 18 will need a parent or guardian to confirm their entry by email.

Details, the questions and the judging criteria are at tenyearsfromnow.org. Please speak to me if you have questions.
